I qualified from Bath School of Physiotherapy (Bath University) in 1996 as a Chartered Physiotherapist. My first 10 years were spent working full-time in the NHS in areas such as out-patients, trauma, orthopaedics, elderly care, pain clinic, neurology, and rheumatology. By 2006 I was working as a team leader (Band 7 Physio) in musculo-skeletal outpatients in Bristol. This role involved supervising a team of physiotherapists and teaching students and junior staff, as well as treating many conditions and injuries.

I worked part-time in the NHS after having children and since 2014 I have been working in private practice, including 6 years running a clinic in East Knoyle. I worked solely on home visits during the coronavirus pandemic from July 2020 until Feb 2021. I have been working from a clinic room in my home since then.

I have an expert knowledge of most aches and pains in children over 6 years old and adults. I will endeavour to help you understand your diagnosis and what needs to be done to manage your conditions.  I will treat with hands-on soft tissue massage, joint mobilisations, exercises, taping and acupuncture.

I am passionate about safe treatment and will ensure that your problem has a mechanical cause. I will liaise with your doctor and request investigations and/or referral to the relevant specialist if I think that physiotherapy is not the right treatment.
